CE Alerts ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Caldera alarm and notification management platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web dashboard, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

2.1 Account Information
When an account is created for you, we collect:
- Your name and username
- Email address
- Phone number (if SMS notifications are enabled)
- Password (stored in hashed form)
2.2 Device Information
When you register a mobile device for push notifications, we collect:
- Device token (used to deliver push notifications)
- Device type (iOS or Android)
- Device name and model
- Operating system version
- App version
2.3 Usage Information
We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including alarm acknowledgments, notification read status, and login activity.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Send alarm alerts and safety notifications relevant to your assigned buildings and groups
- Deliver push notifications to your registered mobile devices via Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) and/or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)
- Send SMS text messages to your phone number when SMS notifications are enabled for your account
- Send in-app notifications, including broadcasts and targeted messages
- Manage your group memberships and building access permissions
- Monitor and improve the reliability of the Service
4. Push Notifications
Our Service uses push notifications to deliver time-sensitive alarm alerts and important notifications to your mobile device. When you register your device:
- Your device token is registered with Amazon Web Services Simple Notification Service (AWS SNS), which acts as an intermediary to deliver notifications through Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) or other platform notification services
- Push notifications may include alarm type, alarm message, building information, and notification details
- You may receive push notifications for alarms triggered at buildings associated with your groups
- You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings
5. SMS and Text Messages
If SMS notifications are enabled for your account:
- We will send SMS text messages to the phone number associated with your account using the Twilio messaging platform
- SMS messages are sent for alarm alerts and may include the alarm type, alarm message, and building name
- Message frequency varies based on alarm activity at your assigned buildings
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan
- You can opt in to SMS notifications by texting START to our designated phone number
- You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by texting STOP to our designated phone number, or by contacting your system administrator
- You can text HELP to our designated phone number for assistance with SMS notifications
- For additional help with SMS notifications, contact your system administrator
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Cloud infrastructure, database hosting (RDS), and push notification delivery (SNS)
- Twilio — SMS text message delivery
- Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) — Push notification delivery to iOS devices
These providers process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies and our data processing agreements with them.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Alarm records, notification history, and related data are retained in accordance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements. When your account is deactivated, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Hashed password storage
- Token-based API authentication
- Role-based access controls through the group system
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of SMS notifications
- Disable push notifications via your device settings
